FAQ

Questions families bring to the screening

Are you notarios?

No. Our staff are licensed attorneys and a representative accredited by the U.S. Department of Justice. A notario or immigration consultant can't give legal advice or represent you. If one has taken money from you, tell us.

Is the screening really free?

Yes. It's twenty minutes, by phone or at the clinic. If you hire us after the consultation, you'll have the fee in writing first.

Who speaks Spanish?

Ulises, Matilde and Constanza do, and so does our front desk. Analyn works in Tagalog and English, with a staff interpreter for clients who speak Spanish.

Do you only help people in Las Vegas?

We help people who live in Clark County and nearby. Most appointments are at the clinic on East Charleston, and some can be by video.

I already have a date in immigration court. What should I do?

Call as soon as you can, and bring your hearing notice to the screening. Court cases run on fixed dates.

Will you tell immigration about me?

No. What you tell us is confidential, as it is with any lawyer. We share information with USCIS or the court only in the filings you approve.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, for most cases. The payment dates go in your written agreement.

Can someone come with me?

Yes. In cases about safety, we may ask to talk with you alone first.
