Ulises Zubiaurre
Executive director and supervising attorney
Ulises supervises every case at the clinic and handles the hardest family cases himself: waivers, old removal orders and cases that end up in court.
Ulises grew up in North Las Vegas, the son of parents from Lima, Peru, and spent his teens reading letters from immigration aloud for half the block. He practiced at a downtown firm before starting Centro Amanecer with one desk and a donated copier.
He reads every application before it leaves the clinic, and he explains the risks of a case before its benefits.

Working with Ulises
If your case has a problem in its past, like an old deportation order or a time you were turned back at the border, you'll likely meet Ulises at the consultation. He'll ask for every paper you have and tell you plainly what could go wrong before you decide anything.
He meets clients in Spanish or English, at the clinic or by video.
